Acting For Animators
Workshop with Ed Hooks
Final Fantasies - CGI in Japanese Animation
Presentation by Jonathan Clements
This excellent master class explains, in practice, the structure of good story-telling and the connections between thought, emotion and action.

"I've been to a lot of lectures and workshops given by top animators and acting teachers and always left feeling like I really didn't get much out of it. Your talk was the complete opposite, I was left with the feeling of finally getting some stuff I could use...." [more like this...]

Ed Hooks lives in Chicago and is the author of 'Acting for Animators'.
Jonathan Clements is an international authority on Japanese manga and anime. His talk at SAND 2003 will present a brief history of the rise of CGI in Japanese animation, from its early days as a gimmick, to its uses both behind and in front of the camera in the 1990s, up to the present-day stand-off between giant corporations and amateur film-makers.
